Breakfast was served 8 am at the hotel (I love breakfast and I am so happy that it is always included here and that it is very GOOD too!). After breakfast we packed our stuff and went for our snorkeling trip. The first stop on the snorkeling trip was to see turtles. I only saw two, Tim also saw a very big one. He tried to call on me several times but I never saw it before it swam away. Luckily he got it on camera.
The next two stops on the snorkeling trip were a ship wreck and the famous underwater statues at Gili Meno. Unfortunately, very crowded at this stop - but it was worth just to see it. We then got off the boat on Gili Air for lunch. We chose a different place from what was recommended because the menu wasn't on backpack level - haha. I ordered fruit with yogurt and Tim a banana pancake (they still served breakfast menu). They often serve the food in a very beautiful way here!
We met a bunch from Bangladesh, who we met on the snorkeling tour, for dinner in the evening. It was election day here in Indonesia the same day so a lot of restaurants were closed. We simply had to take one of the restaurants that were open and we ate food while the thunders came and went in the background. It was so interesting to hear how they live their lives in Bangladesh, the culture, the food and so on. Felt a bit like we experienced the country for a while, through their stories. We concluded that we are not so different - even though we live on different parts of the globe. We laugh at the same things, have a similar everyday life (work, eat dinner, watch TV and go to bed) and we see the same movies. Both good and bad, I think. This was the last day at Gili T before our adventure continued on to the island of Lombok 😍
