The morning after we visited the Hobbit village we went to Wai-o-tapu which is the largest volcanic area in New Zealand. We had breakfast just outside the park in our little van before it was time to enter the park. At 10:15, the geyser show began. A person from the staff pours soap into the geyser which causes it to react and have a minor outbreak. Cool!
The park was magical with all the smoke everywhere, yellow acid lakes, bright green lakes, boiling water and boiling clay. We have never seen anything like this before, so we thought it was really different and an amazing experience. After the park we saw the Huka Falls and then we went towards a different campsite - on a driveway to a family house. They had electricity, wi-fi and water supply for the van and we paid 25 NZD for one night.
New Zealand has shown us everything - chalky white beeches, green fields, high mountains (and bad roads), red woods and deserts. New Zealand has it all!
