En väldigt poppis turistattraktion här i Bohol förutom chokldkullarna är spökdjuren (tarsians på engelska). När vi gjorde research om tarsier var inprincip det första som kom upp att det ställe som ingår i de flesta bokade turerna, ett ställe nära floden Loboc, inte är så bra mot djuren: de håller dem i fångenskap och är inte ett officiellt reservat. För mig är det väldigt viktigt att djuren blir väl behandlade, så därför bestämde vi oss för att isället åka till Tarsier Sanctuary Corella.

Spökdjur är nattdjur så de sover på dagen. Vi hade därför svårt att få till en bild när deras ögon var helt öppna men de var så söta ändå! Man fick inte ta bild med blixt eftersom deras ögon är väldigt känsliga och man fick heller inte prata för högt när man var i reservatet.

Efter spökdjuren åkte vi vidare österut mot Loboc River. Där finns flytande restauranger (flottar som också serverar mat och har live-musik) som vi gärna ville testa. Mitt under resan stannade båten till vid en brygga där vi också fick se lite Filippinsk dans. Helt ok båttur och väl värt 550 pesos per person för buffé och underhållning längs med floden i en timme.

Efter lunchen tog vi moppen vidare till Man Made Forest: en 3 km lång sträcka med Mahogany träd. Träden hänger över vägen och nuddar varandra så de stänger ute ljuset och det var väldigt mysigt att åka igenom den.

A very popular tourist attraction here in Bohol, besides the chocolate hills, is the tarsiers. When we researched the tarsiers basically the first thing that came up was that the place included in most booked tours, a place near the river Loboc, is not so good to the animals: they keep them in captivity and are not an official sanctuary. To me it is very important that the animals are treated right. So, therefore, we decided to go to Tarsier Sanctuary Corella instead.

Tarsians are nocturnal so they sleep onduring the day. We therefore had a hard time getting a picture when their eyes were completely open but they were so cute anyway! You must not take a picture with a flash because their eyes are very sensitive and you shouldn't talk too loudly when you are close to Tarsians.

After the Tarsians we went further east towards the Loboc River. There they have floating restaurants (rafts that also serve food and have live music) that we wanted to try. In the middle of the trip the boat stopped at a pier where we also saw some Filipino dance. Quite okay boat ride and well worth 550 pesos per person for buffet and entertainment along the river for an hour.

After lunch we took the motorbike to Man Made Forest: a 3 km stretch with Mahogany trees. The trees hang over the road and closes the sky so it is dark and very cozy to go through it.
